What does a conditioner do?
A conditioner is a haircare product that is used to improve the texture and manageability of hair. Our conditioners designed to add moisture and shine to the hair, while also detangling and reducing frizz.
What’s the best conditioner for dry hair?
Our Daily Calma Conditioner restores moisture naturally to dry and damaged hair. Hair can become dry and damaged for a variety of different reasons. Most commonly it is caused by factors such as chemicals, UV exposure and excess heat. Hair can also become dry and brittle as a reulst of long term stress. When it comes to hair health, the best way is to target hair is from the inside out and outside in. Targeting the inside involves diet, stress management and supplementing with targeted hair growth vitamins. Working from the outside involves using care products that don’t strip moisture or dehydrate hair. This means avoiding sulphates in your shampoo and silicones in conditioning products.
What are Silicones?
Silicones are one of those ingredients you’ve probably heard of but might not be sure why. First of all, CENTRED’s products are completely Silicone free and that is because the purpose of our collection is to improve hair health and condition in order to promote strong, healthy, shiny hair naturally.
This is because Silicones sit as a middle ground ingredient as they are mainly cosmetic and certain silicones can actually be detrimental to hair if used for a long time causing build up. Many people are oblivious that every single hair product they are using contains Silicones.
So, what to expect from silicone free products
At first, you may just have a feeling of uncertainty about Silicone free products as you may not necessarily get that instant ‘slippy’ ‘soft’ feeling you get from silicone heavy products. The transition can feel strange especially to those used to Silicone heavy products as you will be experiencing your hair how it really is rather than masking its appearance with Silicones. Will it weigh my hair down?
Our Heightened Conditioner is specifically formulated for finer hair types so if you are searching for a conditioner that won’t weigh your hair down then our Heightened Conditioner with Hydrolysed Rice Protein will be ideal for you.
Will it work on curly hair?
As wavy and curly hair tends to be more coarse, we would recommend our Daily Calma Conditioner with Jojoba Oil and Squalane for helping to add hydration and strength to dry damaged hair.
Is conditioner ok to use everyday?
In general, it's safe to use conditioner every day to keep your hair healthy, hydrated, and looking great. However, the frequency of use may depend on your hair type and the type of conditioner you use. If you have thicker hair choose our Daily Calma deeply hydrating conditioner, for finer and medium hair types choose our weightless Heightened Conditioner. For those with fine or oily hair, daily use of conditioner may not be necessary, while those with coarse or curly hair may benefit from daily conditioning to manage tangles and frizz.
